Volcanoes That Could Destroy the World

Volcanoes are more than what you think!

Some volcanoes are dormant while others are still active.

Not only active volcanoes, even dormant volcanoes are quite risky and scary.

Many volcanoes affect only a smaller portion, whereas, many other volcanoes create massive destructions. And by destructions, I mean huge, very huge destructions. Huge destructions mean that they could even destroy the earth.

Many super active volcanoes on earth may cause greater damages to livelihood.

Not only billion-dollar worth properties would be damaged, but millions of people would also lose their lives and a huge amount of animals and other living creatures would die massively.

Supervolcanoes are volcanoes that could destroy the world. Supervolcanoes are huge and scary.

Some of the supervolcanoes are calderas looking like. For instance, Mount St. Helens is small compared to other volcanoes.

Let Us See Some Of The Deadliest Volcanoes That Could Even Destroy The World:

200 million years ago, a supervolcano erupted and said that 75% of the total population of the earth was destroyed.

It is said that the eruption made a major part of North America and Africa were drifted and made the Atlantic Ocean flow in between them!

  2. Eyjafjallajokull volcano
  3. Katla volcano
  4. Cumbre Vieja volcano
  5. Mount Vesuvius volcano
  6. Popocatépetl volcano
  7. Mount Tambora
  8. Yellow stone volcano
  1. The Lake Toba volcano:

Indonesia is also a popular spot known for its volcanic eruptions.

Southeast Asia’s biggest threat in recent days is the eruption of the Lake Toba Supervolcano.

Though the supervolcano is also known as “the forgotten volcano”, it is always remembered to stay on the list of volcanoes that could destroy the world, if exploded.

The volcano is under the resurgence stage and it is expected to explode anytime soon.

And also, a massive tsunami could form because the volcano is lying in an island country.

The lake Toba volcano is one of the volcanoes that stand in the line of the volcanoes that could destroy the world.

  1. Eyjafjallajokull Volcano:

As we all know, the Eyjafjallajokull volcano became one of the reasons why billions of dollars got lost.

Millions of travelers are prohibited from visiting the volcano during the eruption period.

If another explosion takes place, a countless number of people can lose their lives. Also, property damage will be massive.

The Eyjafjallajokull volcano is one of the volcanoes that could destroy the world.

  1. Katla Volcano:

In Iceland, Katla is one of the well-known volcanoes. Its major eruption was in 1918.

If another explosion takes place in the Katla volcano, the effects will be more than ten times the effects caused by the Eyjafjallajokull volcano.

Enormous ash and dust that would be caused by the volcano’s eruption will hit a major part of Europe for a longer period.

The next eruption of the volcano would happen any time soon, say geologists and scientists.

  1. Cumbre Vieja Volcano:

Cumbre Vieja volcano is one of the volcanoes that could destroy the world. The Cumbre Vieja volcano last erupted in 1971.

In 2001, the U.S. and British scientist council warned that a large volcanic explosion would occur.

Also, they warned that the explosion would cause a major tsunami. The volcanic eruption is said to be more threatening in the future.

  1. Mount Vesuvius Volcano:

Mount Vesuvius volcano last erupted in 1944.

During the explosion, the popular Pompeii and Herculaneum were destroyed in 79 AD.

Today, more than three million people live near the volcanic region and 600000 of the population are residing under the red zone.

In the future, the explosion could kill at least 8000 people and would cause damage to properties worth more than 24 billion dollars.

The after-effects would also be strong and hugely worse. They could change the weather patterns in major parts of Europe.

Also, Naples could become a lifeless desert.

Let us hope it does not make much damage to the world!

  1. Popocatépetl Volcano:

In 2000, the last volcanic explosion took place and created a huge impact on history.

The Popocatépetl volcano is the third tallest volcano in the Northern Hemisphere.

The Popocatépetl volcano is located 40 miles west of Mexico.

18 million people reside in the volcanic region. The next explosion could cause massive damage to the place.

Deadly mudslides can occur, MAKING the after-effects worse.

After eighty years of dormancy, the Popocatépetl volcano has started showing early signs of its explosion.

  1. Mount Tambora:

In 1967, Mount Tambora last exploded. During the explosion, the weather patterns of that region completely changed and made Italy freeze during June and in July it snowed in Virginia.

Agriculture was also affected in Europe and America. A countless number of crops were destroyed.

More than 71,000 people were killed because of amine and health-related problems.

The Tambora volcano is still active. Experts say that if there is going to be another explosion, history would face the worse.

Indonesia has 222 million people residing currently. They are all being closely monitored.

  1. Yellow Stone Volcano:

The yellow stone volcano is one of the frightening volcanoes in the whole world. If the next eruption of the yellow stone volcano is pretty intense, the after-effect will be adverse. Death and destruction would be the only results after the explosion of the volcano. But fortunately, the eruption would not destroy the whole of America.

The Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming sits on top of the volcano. The volcano is 44 miles wide.

But, the volcano’s eruption was 640,000 years ago.

Geologists and scientists have warned that the yellow stone volcano would cause great trouble if exploded again. Nearly five billion people could lose their lives.

Conclusion:

Just because some of us are residing far away from the volcano spots, it doesn’t mean we are safe. We could also die because of volcanic explosions that take place in some place of the world.

Do you know that a supervolcano faced continuous eruptions for 600000 years? The supervolcano is called the CAMP- Central Atlantic Magmatic Province!

Let Us Hope For The Best To Happen!
