Nowadays, everyone can become a travel blogger of influencer. Its seems very easy but it isn’t, it is very much workable.

There is apparently eternal sea of travel blogs out there. Everyday thousands of people post there picture of traveling and thinks they start travel blogging.

This area seems so messup, right? There are most of travel influencers out there but , lets be honest, most suck. Because they go in with misconception of majesty and stick it out long enough to become a triump. They think they will start earning the handsome amount for the very next day after start blogging.

There are lots of blogging point out there on the websites, but few people talk about which things to avoid when you starting a travel blog.

These are the most common travel blogging errors I see daily, and you just need to know how to rid of it , that’s why I created a list below of five thing not to do when starting a travel blog.

5 things to know before you starting a travel blog:

  1. Having zero knowledge about SEO:

You need to have fundamental knowledge about SEO. SEO stand for search engine optimisation. There are a lot of bloggers who ignore SEO, this is a very huge mistake they do.

SEO is the Practice of upgrade blog contents, site architecture and HTML code for search engine. SEO is how you get traffic to your website through search engine. When peoples search any question and word into Google, there is a list of websites with answers you can see. You also need to built your website and write your posts definite way so that search engine like Google can appear your post and show them to people.

There are different sort of strategies you can use to make your website show higher in search engine. You can generally lump these strategies into two camp: in-page SEO and off-page SEO.

When your post have better SEO, they will make on high rank in a Google search. I know it looks very threaten, specially for newbie. But once you obtain essentials, you’ll see how plain and succesfull it really is.

  1. Thinking about ads to monetize your blog:

If you are wondering how to monetize your travel blog the first think will no doubt come to your mind are ads. This is a biggest mistake to connect Google ads at a very beginning of profession.

When in the beginning, you don’t need to do this because it affect your blogging house. With little traffic, most of the ads you will be able to put on your blog tend to pay per purchase made through them or per click if you get lucky. This will wind up not making you a plenty of money and also your speed goes down and trust me people getting irritate by seeing so many ads.

You have to focus aquiring traffic first and then adding one or two well placed ads that relate to your viewers. If you won’t make a large amount from ads in the beginning. You have to put your monetisation centre somewhere like affiliate marketing.

  1. Assuming that blogging is just to need post per week:

Peoples thinks that they are becoming a blogger after they post per week which they can comfortably do in a day. Its wrong, totally wrong. This is also a biggest mistake in my point of view.

You will need to spend a lot of time to your project. You will need to produce picture with high quality content as well as setting up your actual website. A biggest part of blogging is encouring your blog post and engaging with audience. You also need to run some social media platforms. You can’t just write an article, click post and be done. The actual work start after you end up from writing and now need to make sure the peoples actually see your post.

Be serious with the amount of time that you have to spend before you start a travel blog.

  1. Making No domain:

A very serious mistake that I see many travel blogger make is getting a domain that they don’t own, they might thinking that they will just start with a free website till they are sure they want to invest money in to blogging. It seems like a great plan but I think you will windup regretting it. You can’t monetise them, if you won’t have your own domain.

The free plans for wordpress ,blogspot, or squarespace are good for hobby blog but If you are serious about structure your blog you need to own your domain, preferably make sure that it can be host it by yourself.

  1. Misjudge how much work it is:

Some people think that earning money from blogging is effortless. If you are planning to take blogging as a career, think before you take it as a full time job. Be sure, you can do the simple minimum and only spend a few hours a week with your travel blog but that’s not going to get you very far.

Blogging is a job just like any other , if you want it to be victorious , you need to put time on it just like writing skill, having great video apps to video edit, taking good phototgraphs, editing photos, blog design ,making pinterest and then engaging on social media.

You have to be prepare to devote few hours in front of laptop, planning and arranging everything, that’s why you need to obtain good time management skills.

Conclution:

All the travel blog errors on this above list are bad and should be kept away from. Becoming a great travel blogger is very tough, there are so many moving part and so much conflicts. Starting a travel blog is comparatively effortless, as any people can do it, but keeping it successful? Its not very easy as it seems. It takes a lot of time , efforts , diligence and hard working to be successful travel blogger.

I hope you’ll avoid these mistakes it will put you on the path to success far rapidly than most travel blogger.

You can dot this! I know you can!
